Strategic repositioning, identity, website, photography, and the first major media campaign: Insign supported the kitchenware brand through a complete transformation, kicking off September 8th across 200 Parisian metro stations and via video, under the manifesto: "La recette, c'est le plaisir" (The recipe is pleasure).

For ten years, Cookut has won consumers over with its colorful and clever utensils, driven by best-sellers like L'Incroyable and La Fabuleuse. But this success masked a paradox that was holding back its growth: the brand was less known than its own products, and it had locked itself into a CSR stance that was hard to sustain. To scale up to match its ambitions, it didn't just need a simple refresh; it needed a strategic repositioning. This is the deep work Insign tackled with Cookut, coming to life on September 8th with a fully redesigned identity, its very first brand campaign, and a chosen cause.

The problem with cooking: perfection

TV cooking shows, picture-perfect plating, Instagram-worthy dishes: cooking has become a high-stakes test with a jury in every dining room. The repositioning developed by Insign sits at the intersection of the brand's goal to conquer new audiences and a real consumer need: to make cooking accessible to everyone, we need a brand that encourages people to cook their own way. That is exactly what Cookut and its products have always enabled—now, the brand positioning finally says it out loud.

Cookut is becoming the ultimate encouraging brand, helping everyone get started without judgment. We don't cook to win; we cook to enjoy. Messing up is just part of the process. This belief is summed up in one core idea: "No achievement without pleasure," and a tagline that reads like a manifesto: "The recipe is pleasure."

A creative space that values the real over the perfect

The brand universe imagined by Insign translates this positioning straight into the visuals: spontaneous, colorful, engaging, and cheeky, where everyday actions take center stage over curated setups. A new photography style, shot with photographer Agathe Hernandez (Studio Cagnard), spans all products and lifestyle scenes.

The new cookut.com website, which Insign redesigned from architecture to UI, extends this universe: brand identity takes priority over the product catalog, supported by the new imagery and real, messy life scenes. It's no longer just a shop for clever products; it's the window to a philosophy.

To launch this first brand campaign, the media plan is as big as the event: six posters rolled out in three waves across 200 Paris metro stations for several weeks, three short online videos, and full coverage across social media and influencer channels. A brand awareness study was conducted before the launch, with a second wave to follow: the impact of this transformation will be measured, not just assumed.

"The creative strategy was to turn Cookut into an encouraging brand, challenging the perfectionist narrative to make pleasure the real key to cooking. Colorful, spontaneous photography with imperfect models, playful copy: every scene and every word conveys the same belief: in the kitchen, enjoyment comes before performance," says Joris Vigouroux, Creative Director at Insign.

"You don't need to be a chef to want to cook. We want to demystify cooking and encourage people to just go for it, even if they mess up. With this campaign, Cookut is finally becoming what it has always been: the brand that tells you, 'go ahead, take the first step, we've got your back,'" adds Laurent Ammeux, CEO of Cookut.
